Please note: This axolotl's top two gills on its left side are shorter than the rest. This is due to an old nip. They may or may not regrow the gills to their full length over time.

We determine our axolotls' morphs to the best of our abilities using the known lineage and visual markers. Axolotls morphs can present in a variety of ways and be difficult to identify.

Please note: Our Dirty Leucistics are kept in black tubs and tanks. This helps them to produce the darker pigment. To retain their "dirty" appearance, we recommend keeping them in a tank with a dark bottom or substrate. Dirty Leucistics can lose their pigment with age or if not kept in a dark environment.
